BOSTON—April 16, 2025—American Student Assistance® (ASA), a national nonprofit changing the way kids learn about careers and prepare for their futures, today announced that it has been honored with a 2025 Webby Honoree distinction (B2B Campaign/Advertising, Media & PR category) for its research report, “Launchpad Jobs: Achieving Career and Economic Success Without a Degree,” commissioned by ASA and conducted by the Burning Glass Institute. Published in November 2024, the research, which tracked the career paths of millions of nondegree workers, found systematic patterns of success, with the first job out of high school a crucial choice. To date, the report has garnered more than one billion media impressions, including coverage from New York Times, CNBC, and MSN. Earning the distinction of Webby Honoree, as recognized by the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences is a significant achievement—is granted to only the top 25% of all work entered in the 29th Annual Webby Awards.
“At ASA, we are committed to providing young people (and the caring adults who support them) with the information and experiences needed to make informed, confident decisions on what comes next after high school. We are incredibly proud to have been recognized with a Webby Honoree distinction for our collaborative groundbreaking research with Burning Glass Institute on the best jobs that provide the greatest career agility, stability, and upward mobility for young people who plan on entering the workforce straight out of high school,” said Judy Goldstein, SVP, Marketing and Communications, American Student Assistance
“Everyone deserves the chance to build a meaningful career—regardless of whether they have a college degree,” said Matt Sigelman, President of the Burning Glass Institute. “We’re proud that Launchpad Jobs is being recognized as a Webby Honoree for highlighting the paths to real mobility and opportunity for young people entering the workforce. It’s a powerful example of how data can drive more inclusive pathways to success.”
“Honorees like American Student Assistance and Burning Glass Institute are leading the charge in pushing the boundaries of creativity and innovation online,” said Nick Borenstein, General Manager of The Webby Awards. “Being chosen from nearly 13,000 entries this year is a remarkable accomplishment and a true testament to their excellence.”
