Varda Halidy is the Vice President of Human Resources and a member of ASA’s senior management team, working closely with the CEO to provide strategic counsel about the overall operations of ASA and its employees.
Varda specializes in diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging. She has extensive experience in HR and has worked in many different industries including construction, digital marketing, advertising, healthcare, and politics. Her training, organizing, and public speaking roles have been national in scope.
She is a native Bostonian who has committed to the growth and sustainability of her community through education, training, and development. Varda has a passion for kids, and has successfully mentored inner-city youth for more than 20 years.
One of Varda’s most cherished successes was starting an inner-city staffing agency – employing those with barriers to employment – in collaboration with the Boston Workers Alliance and the late Mayor of Boston, Thomas Menino. She currently serves on the Executive Board of the Boston Y Achievers, Menino Art Center in Hyde Park, and Vibe Vision, a community organization that provides education to youth about jobs in the entertainment industry. She holds her bachelor’s degree in leadership from Northeastern University.
