Dione Kenyon is a retired financial services executive and experienced board leader and contributor, primarily in the not-for-profit sector. She has over 35 years of experience in commercial and consumer finance, with a focus on the diamond, jewelry, and precious metals industries. She is a strategic thinker who quickly grasps and builds upon key business drivers, and has a track record of building, merging and turning around businesses that attract and retain satisfied customers. She has chaired four Boards and played lead roles in the areas of Compensation, Investments, Finance, Audit, and Governance over the past 30 years.
Her personal passion is education and the provision of access to it for as many individuals as possible.
Dione has served on ASA’s Board for 20 years, and currently serves as Chair of the Board of Governors of the Gemological Institute of America, Carlsbad, California. She is a member of the Distribution Committee of the Rhode Island based Champlin Foundation and serves as a Director of Jewelers Mutual Insurance Company, Neenah, Wisconsin.
Dione holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Government from Smith College, and an MBA from Providence College. She is also a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors from which she obtained the CERT Certificate in Cybersecurity Oversight in 2018.
