ASA College Planning Center

Welcome to the American Student Assistance® (ASA) College Planning Center (TERI). Although we’ve changed our parent organization from TERI to ASA®, we haven’t changed who we are or what we do. The College Planning Center opened its doors in October 1984 as the Higher Education Information Center, Boston’s first comprehensive resource for information on postsecondary education, financial aid, and career information. Located in the Boston Public Library in Copley Square, the Center provides a free drop-in college planning services six days a week and promotes the belief that higher education should be accessible to individuals of all backgrounds. While serving everyone who request assistance, the Center’s focus is on low-income and minority students and adults who will be the first generation in their families to attend college, and who, without encouragement, will be unlikely to continue their education. Over its years of operation the Center has developed a team of experienced multilingual staff, with expertise in college admission, career exploration, and financial aid. Along with in-depth one-on-one assistance with planning and paying for college, the Center also provides community workshops and information sessions at branch libraries, schools, organizations serving similar populations, and career and college fairs.

If you haven't been to the ASA College Planning Center and are in need of college planning assistance, drop in or call 617.536.0200 or 1.877.332.4348. We welcome you and look forward to seeing or hearing from you.
