National Training for Counselors and Mentors
American Student Assistance® (ASA) knows how important it is for high school guidance counselors and college access professionals to have accurate and up-to-date information.
That’s why ASA® facilitates National Training for Counselors and Mentors (NT4CM). NT4CM provides free training, information, resources, and tools regarding federal, state, and local financial aid programs.
NT4CM is sponsored by:
- Federal Student Aid (an office within the U.S. Department of Education)
- The National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators
- The National Council of Higher Education Loan Programs
- The National Association for College Admission Counseling
- The American School Counselor Association
NT4CM in Massachusetts and the District of Columbia
ASA works with the Massachusetts Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (MASFAA) to coordinate NT4CM events in Massachusetts, and we also facilitate events in the District of Columbia.
Currently, members of MASFAA’s Early Awareness Committee present NT4CM material during:
- The Massachusetts Education Finance Authority’s annual Guidance Counselor Boot Camp.
- The Massachusetts School Counselor Association’s annual spring conference.
Find out more about these sessions from MASFAA’s calendar of events.
