As of June 23, 2010, American Student Assistance® (ASA) no longer accepts new guarantee requests due to changes to the student loan industry. This means you can no longer apply for or e-Sign your loans online with ASA Direct.

If you previously applied for or e-Signed you loan with ASA®, you can still check its status using ASA Direct.

If you need to apply for a new loan, please contact your school.

ASA Direct is American Student Assistance’s online loan management tool.

As a borrower, ASA Direct allows you to obtain information about your American Student Assistance® (ASA)-guaranteed loans. User access is read-only.

Log on to ASA Direct.

Availability

ASA Direct is available:
Mon–Sat: 4:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m. ET
Sun: 4:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. ET

Cookies

The browser must be capable of supporting cookies, SSL (Secure Sockets Layer), and HTML 3.2. Internet Explorer supports these features by default. To ensure that SSL is properly configured, go to “Tools > Options > Advanced” and enable these features.

Pop-up Blockers

Pop-up blockers must be relaxed to use certain features and functions within ASA Direct. It is safe to allow pop-up windows from the www.asa.org domain.

Other Programs

Your use of ASA Direct may also require the installation of the Adobe® Acrobat Reader® software (for PDF files).
