Where Do I Send My Completed Deferment Form?
Dear American Student Assistance:
I have printed and filled out my request for economic hardship deferment…now where do I send it?
Thanks,
Jennifer
Dear Jennifer:
Once your economic hardship deferment is complete, you need to fax it and any corresponding paperwork to whomever has your student loans. Once received, it will likely take them approximately 1 week to process it. Try calling them the day after you fax it to ensure they’ve received it, and again a week later to confirm your status.
Regards,
