Job Description:

Reporting to the Director of Process and Technology Solutions, the Manager of Data Analysis and Reporting is assigned responsibility for data development, data analysis, and reporting for both portfolio and borrower communication programs. The department’s responsibilities include: analyze ASA, partner, and customer portfolios to identify borrow repayment behavior attributes, risk factors, and performance trends; conduct analysis and create reports on integrated communication initiative contact results; contribute to data governance decision-making; and create data-related reports with recommendations to inform management decisions. The Manager is also responsible for managing and promoting team member development and a positive professional environment. In addition, the Manager collaborates with the other members of the BOS management team and other ASA divisions to identify and implement process, technology, and service improvements.

Job Experience:

Minimum 5–7 years project management experience in a quantitative research and analysis environment; financial services or market research experience a plus. Demonstrated exceptional leadership skills, in particular related to managing a customer-focused team and maintaining collaborative relationships with other managers. Demonstrated application of customer service skills to meet diverse business needs and deliver positive performance results. Superior verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical and project management skills. Exceptional time management and organizational skills are critical. Experience with dispute resolution or negotiation desired. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team. Experience managing relationships with third-party vendors. Demonstrated understanding of student loan industry regulations and industry desired. Ability to pass a proficiency exam in the use of Structured Query Language (SQL). Experience with statistical analysis and modeling software required; experience with SAS required. Experience with the interpretation of Web trend data, analysis, and reporting required. Proficiency in MS Office applications. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent management experience; advanced degree desired.
